Money Intelligence Book

"Susan reveals to us in this book her financial experience and wisdom. All in all, it is the best book I have ever read. It is well written for its purpose, but what is most important to me is Susan’s ‘integral’ or ‘holistic’ approach to life. In this, I could be biased because this is the way I view life. I believe that we specialise in a certain area, but we should not lose sight of the whole picture, for example how we are going to deploy our speciality to serve other disciplines and society at large.

My bias aside, her use of her family’s struggle and achievements, as an example, was skilfully and aptly deployed to explain all the things she wanted to explain about wisely conducting financial affairs. By referring to the qualities of her mum, dad and others who mentored and collaborated with them, every now and then at the right place and moment in the book, helped make the ideas easy to understand and relate to.

Her reference to life in Palestine, her mother’s kitchen and ideas about peace add to the power of her holistic approach and I find them very relevant to what she is trying to communicate".

"Who would have thought that a book by an accountant could be so engaging, heartfelt and profound, as well as practical, informative and liberating? The strategies and value driven philosophies in this book helped me and my partner to courageously get on the wealth track, stay on track and increase our MQ! I have had the pleasure to reap the rewards of Susan as our Money Mentor, but now we can all have her by our bedside, reminding us daily of the Investorgetic® habits to live by. We all need a cheerleader! (and the outfit to match!) Make your next determined step to financial liberation - read this book"

You may think you are “not good” with money. No one is born with a Money Intelligence® gene. Money Intelligence® – or “MQ” – is totally achievable for anyone who wants to learn.

Money Intelligence® is not your average financial management advice/get-rich-quick book. The book is a step-by-step guide that aims at raising the reader's MQ level in order to help them improve their personal and financial life. It shows you that it is possible to emancipate yourself from the daily 9-5 grind and build your wealth responsibly. It is full of success stories of middle-income Aussies who have used Susan's financial strategies over the past 20 years to build their wealth and prosper.

The key to managing money intelligently and building wealth is to know yourself. Susan identifies the 18 money values and 48 mindset principles you need to adopt to achieve Money Intelligence® and as a result financial freedom.

So, are you ready to increase your MQ and start having a healthy relationship with money? Let Money Intelligence®  kick-start your journey to financial freedom.

"It's totally not a finance textbook, It's actually far from it and so far I found it a very good read.  It's a fascinating story that starts in the turbulent times of 1970's Palestine and ends with a practical guide to long-term financial security"

Ian White - FCPA and Owner, Professional Edge Pty Ltd

“Susan has managed to take a complex (and often ignored) subject and turn it into a compelling read and formula for life-long prosperity. This is not just a book on how to manage your money, this is a transformational guide on how to live a fruitful and comfortable life. This is a book for every adult, of any age, and a must for anyone with children as the life lessons in here will stand your kids in good stead for the rest of their days.”

Kim McGinness - Managing Director, Mentor Central

It’s an easy trap to fall into. Small business owners and professionals become so consumed with building their businesses and careers, they forget to grow their wealth. It is only when they reach the age of 50 that they realise they have inadequate investments and super funds, and only 10 to 15 working years ahead of them to save for their retirement.

How can you cope with these changes and uncertainties? How can you build our wealth while also pursuing your passions and nurturing your relationships? With Money Intelligence® of course!

"This book is not your normal money saving and investment books in the market. It’s written in a very simple fashion that a person with no financial background can understand. The writer has included her own family story of struggle that for me as a migrant myself is very touching. The mix of a personal story (very interesting one) , client sample cases and the finance idea’s for building a self funded retirement created a book that you want to follow to the end . This book is emotional , inspirational and recommended to any one interested to build wealth or need inspiration to forge forward and build a better future for themselves and their family."

CPA, Author and Financial Strategist Susan Wahhab outlines her manga (big) vision for Australians:

“Beautiful. Practical. Confronting.
Beautiful - It’s odd that I should be describing a book on financial planning “beautiful’! And yet this is a beautiful book, illustrated with gorgeous black and white drawings and stories about Susan’s colourful family history.
Practical - This is a book every leader should read in order to understand why personal financial security is a critical skill, and what to do about it. Susan’s explanations and client case studies bring her teaching to life.
Confronting - I thought my financial affairs were in a pretty good state. Now I know there’s more to do! Thankfully Susan has told me how to do it! Read this book and build your Money Intelligence.”

When you have Money Intelligence®, you have control of your financial outcomes. And when you have control, all of society prospers. In my book, I encourage you to embrace the following three ideas:

1.   You can become financially free with financial literacy/Money Intelligence. Trust the finance experts to a point. But you need to control how you make, manage and invest your money.

2.   You need to take full responsibility for your finances. This starts by letting go of the idea that "the government will take care of me". In 20 years, the government will not be able to honour its social contract.

3.   You must incorporate investing as a "lifestyle". To do this, you need  shift your mindset from Consumerholic to Investorgetic® – a term I coined that means someone who is  passionate about investing responsibly to build their wealth.

My book guides you through the steps you need to take to create an achievable, sustainable plan for prosperity for yourself and your family.

Money Intelligence® will show you how to redefine old ideas about money and success, helping you reach your full potential – professionally and personally – so you can live a life of purpose and passion. Building your wealth as early as possible, with Money Intelligence®, will help you not only survive, but thrive!

"What you need is a plan to prosper, a plan to give you hope and a future" Susan Wahhab

“In stereotype terms, a book written by an accountant for citizens who wish to develop their ‘money intelligence ‘ might be considered heavy and hard to read. But by using illustrations, diagrams, and columns of figures related to the case studies, Susan has created an engaging text; perhaps more to be consulted than read in one go. ”

Unlike other finance books, Money Intelligence® is fun and infused with art. When you buy the hard copy or ebook, you will receive mandala colouring sheets designed by the book’s artist, Natalie Najjar. I love art and I believe that art can heal human suffering and inspire us to create a more peaceful and caring society. That's why the net profits from the book will be going to organisations that promote peace and art, including the Sydney Peace Foundation, The Freedom Theatre Jenin, The Gaza Music School, Project Hope Nablus, EAPPI and the Parents Circle Forum.

The concept of Money Intelligence is inspired by my family's story. Sharing about my parents and grandparents story lies at the core of the what it means to be money intelligent. I share with the reader photos of my childhood from Ramallah.

“Susan Wahhab’s book ‘Money Intelligence’ is truly inspirational! So beautifully written from the heart, it is so much more than a finance book. Susan’s ability to weave in her incredible personal story gives hope to a fractured world that we can unite and find a way to world peace, while her advice on money intelligence is so compelling and practical that not only can we all learn from Susan’s wisdom, but also recognise a better and more prosperous and generous way of being in the world. Thank you Susan for writing this book and for sharing your family, your history and your incredible wisdom with us all.”
